Terwilliger Heritage

Melville Terwilliger - (Albert C.) born January 16, 1875 - Crawford, NY).  On June 19, 1903, he married 1) Mary Elizabeth Crisler (born July 8, 1867 in Butler, NY) daughter of John and Ruth Crisler; she died February 18, 1914, buried in family plot, Waterloo). 
They had four children:

  • Alma C
  • Ivan Melville Terwilliger, born April 11, 1896 in New York, married Clara G. Kennedy (born November 23, 1892-Tennessee, died 11/9/1982), daughter of Fredereick H Kennedy and Clara G. Lane. Ivan and Clara had 2 children.  Ivan died October 3, 1958 in Pasadena City, Los Angeles, CA
    1. Kent Melville born 1924, died 1989 
    2. Audrey born 1927/28 
  • Eunice Elizabeth Terwilliger was born on May 7,1908 in Waterloo, NY, (daughter of Mary Elizabeth Crisler ) and Rev. Melville Terwilliger b. January 16, 1875, Crawford, NY).  She married Leroy Hillary Richardson, son of  Rev Joseph Richardson (August 9, 1869 - June 14, 1953) and Adelaide Frances Rounds (March 8,1864 - March 11, 1930).  
          *Eunice was not quite 5 yrs of age when Eunice died.  

Melville married 2) Ella Mae Seamans Weiler (b. March 2, 1876, Virgil, NY, d. 3/14/1939) on March 2, 1915 in Cortland, NY.   They had one son:
  • Robert Elwin Terwilliger born August 28, 1917

Melville died June 14, 1943 . Funeral services were conducted in the Chateaugay Methodist -Episcopal Church. He is buried in Crown Hill Memorial Cemetery, New Hartford, NY.
